All our activities are free and open to the
public of all ages. We continue to welcome
additional people into all our activities.
A group gathered for the first practice of
Singing Beatles. Ka'u Community Chorus rehearses
each Monday evening from 7-8 at Discovery
Harbour Community Hall. The Circulo for
Speaking Spanish consisted of a dozen students
at our first class. We meet Mondays 10-11 at DHCH.
The Pohai for Speaking Hawaiian has begun with
around a dozen students, that's Tuesdays, 6:30-8
at DHCH. Also, Ka'u 'Ohana Band has grown and
continues band practice Wednesdays and Thursdays,
3:30-4:30 at OVCC. The Line Dance Classes will
begin shortly as well.
On the horizon on the first two Saturdays in
March, the Creativity Days, which this year will
include a rainbow of free student participation
activities as well as a Show of New Works. Then
on May 5, our Annual Spring Fling in
conjunction with Punalu'u Bake Shop. This season,
in addition to local music and locally produced
arts and crafts, and our big Keiki Korner, we
will feature a Free Mother's Day Treat for all the
mothers attending.
KSA exists for Ka'u. We welcome you to participate
in the arts with us.
